July - August 2019
Our hotel room overlooked the Halifax waterfront including the Halifax Dockyard, a Royal Canadian Navy base. As we were getting ready to check out of the hotel, I noticed people gathering on a pier at the base. I had a feeling maybe a ship was returning from deployment, so we waited around a bit and watched the HMCS Toronto return home. Then we headed to the airport. While at the airport waiting for our flight we indulged in two of the best things about Atlantic Canada... a Tim Horton's donut and one last lobster roll. Then we boarded our plane back to the states and a normal life where you don't eat lobster every day!

We left the maid a bottle of window cleaner and $4. That's customary, right? (It's a long story.)

We've gone through security and US Customs, but we can still enjoy a lobster roll

The only rain we had on this trip was after we got on the plane. Can't complain about that!
