Toronto & Southern Ontario – Day 9

July 2018

I don't usually start a day's photos with one taken right after midnight but today we began the day with dinner at a German pub. We had a hard time finding a place to eat since it was pretty late and we eventually settled upon The Town Crier. The pretzel platter appetizer you see here was followed by some delicious schnitzel. After some sleep, we hit the Toronto Zoo. It was hot out there but we walked all over it and saw nearly every animal. We cooled off with an Iced Capp from Tim Horton's (one of my favorite institutions!) Then it was off to Mississauga for their huge BBQ rib fest. Later in the evening, we walked to the Ripley's Aquarium despite the fact that there was "credible terror threat" for the area. The Toronto Police Service was out in force and we felt safe. We also expected the aquarium might be slow on a Friday night but they were having a Friday Night Jazz event and it was jammed. We still managed to see every creature and didn't even get any drinks spilled on us. Overall, it was a great final full day in Toronto!
