Toronto & Southern Ontario – Day 8

July 2018

In the morning, we set off to the Ontario Legislative Assembly Building. We took a tour of the building, learned a little about the workings of the provincial government and then cleared out before all the craziness surrounding the Crown Speech began. We went down to the Distillery District, walked around a while and then had lunch at a French place. In the afternoon, we went and walked around Kensington Market. Then, since we were getting ahead of our planned itinerary, we added a trip to the Toronto Islands. We took the ferry to Centre Island and did a lot of walking all over the island. We eventually realized we hadn’t eaten dinner despite it being almost midnight. We managed to find a place open late on a Thursday so Day 9 starts with dinner!
