While visiting Tybee Island Light Station, a US Coast Guard HH-65 helicopter (6550) landed and took off a few times picking up a Tybee Island police officer. We got to watch this from the top of the lighthouse. A second HH-65 (6544) landed and took off while we were across the street atop Fort Screven’s Battery Garland. It’s always interesting to watch the men and women of the Coast Guard at work.
