We did a lot of walking on day 4. We walked out onto the Observation Tower and took the elevator down to the bottom of the Niagara River gorge. Then we went to the Schoellkopf Elevator where we travelled to the bottom of the gorge by elevator a second time. Later, we went to the Niagara Aquarium.

Horseshoe Falls framed by the observation tower

It's easy to find a rainbow around here

I could stare at the falls for hours

The Maid of the Mist heads into the mist

We'll be down there at that tunnel later in the trip

Close up with the American Falls

More mist and more rainbows

It's fun to watch the elevators ride up and down the Skylon

You get fantastic views from the observation tower

I keep looking for Jim and Pam on the Maid of the Mist, but haven't found them

The Rainbow Bridge connects New York and Ontario.

The Whirlpool Rapids Bridge is another international bridge farther up the river.

A little sparrow hopped up to me while walking around at the bottom of the Niagara gorge

We mostly ate local, but we did grab lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe

We rode the Schoellkopf Elevator to the bottom of the gorge too

Penguins aren't exactly native to Niagara, but they do live at the aquarium

The seal demo at the Aquarium of Niagara was entertaining

I have to respect any aquarium designer that models their display screens on Star Trek TNG's LCARS format

The banh mi nachos at Griffon Gastropub were so good that we ate there twice
