Between stops on a six-city business trip, I had one day off in Newport. I decided to go walk the Cliff Walk since it was one thing I haven't done in Newport before. At the end of it, I happened upon a soapbox derby. It's nice to see that people still do that. It's such classic Americana.

Is there anything as American as a soapbox derby?
