While on a trip to Western Maryland and West Virginia, we stopped by the Penn Alps restaurant. It's a really cool German/Pennsylvania Dutch restaurant that has been in operation for decades. The food was delicious and plentiful. Adjacent to Penn Alps are the Spruce Forest artisans' village, the Yoder house and the historic Casselman Bridge, which once carried the National Road.
