June 2008
Biloxi, Mississippi was a short overnight side trip. We stopped in every casino and drove around the city a little. The town is recovering well from Hurricane Katrina, but a lot of damage is still visible. We had a really good buffet at Boomtown Casino.

Welcome to Mississippi

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

We stayed here at the Isle of Capri. Unfortunately, the giant parrot was damaged in a storm and taken down while we were there.

Saint Michael's Church is a really unique building. Unfortunately, it still shows major signs of Hurricane Katrina's wrath.

The Beau Rivage is impressive. Seen here from the parking structure of the IP on the other side of the city

The Imperial Palace is now styled as IP Hotel and Casino (Being a geek, I can't help but think Internet Protocol everytime I see it.)

The Beau Rivage is impressive. Don't mind the window washers.

Boomtown's dinner buffet was delicious!

The atrium on the lower level of the Beau Rivage is really cool.

The Palace Casino was a bit of a disappointment, but there are plenty of other options
