Hofbrauhaus is a really cool traditional German restaurant in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. It sits on the Raritan Bay and has a spectacular view of New York City. We took my grandfather there on his 85th birthday. It was during Oktoberfest so the traditional Bavarian Beer Hall was even rowdier than usual. The food was great! Unfortunately, Hofbrauhaus has since closed its doors and will be demolished to make room for more houses. Just what North Jersey needs, more overcrowding.
