IPTV Shows I Watch

Since my series of posts about the podcasts that I listen to was such a huge success (OK, so most likely, no one read them) I’ve decided to to do the same with the IPTV shows that I watch. For those who don’t know what IPTV is, it’s basically just TV shows that are produced for Internet distribution. They can be in a wide variety of formats including Quicktime, Windows Media, etc.

Some of the podcasts I listen to also produce a video version. I’ll list those even though I don’t usually download the video since it’s easier to listen to the audio in the car.

Technorati

There’s nothing interesting for you to see in this post. Just move along and go about your normal business.

I’m just using it to claim my site on Technorati. It’s easier than going into my templates that I worked so hard to create to use their standard claim method.

Unified instant messenging?

Well, it’s about time! MSN and Yahoo! are going to crosslink their voice and chat services so users of either service can contact each other. I personally use AOL’s AIM and know no one in this country who uses these two. But maybe this will prompt AOL to get on board too!

Google Jet

So these two guys form a little company and call it Google. A few years later they buy themselves a personal jet. This might sound normal until you realize that the jet is a Boeing 767!

Check it out in Silicon Beat.

eBaying again

OK, it’s time for a little shameless self promotion. Now that the weather is changing (finally!) and people are spending more time indoors, I’ve started selling on eBay again. So, take a look at what I have for sale and feel free to bid.

Office Space: Extra Special Edition WITH FLAIR

I won’t be buying this since I already have the regular DVD of this movie, but a new version of Office Space is being released, and yes, it comes with flair. (If you love this movie as much as you should, you know what that means.)

It even includes a red swingline stapler! (Something that costs you $18.99 alone on Amazon.

Winter must be coming

Everyone knows that my favorite time of the year is Fall and Winter. I just saw this article about a new “Ice Bar” in London. It’s a bar made entirely of ice. It’s an offshoot of a really cool (no pun intended) Ice Hotel in Lapland, Sweden.

I saw the hotel on a Discovery Channel show last year. I’d love to visit it someday! BTW, I just noticed that the show is going to be on again this year on 18 October at 1pm EST.

You’ll be seeing more posts in the coming days that go on about fall and winter things since I’m so happy that the cool weather season is beginning. 🙂

Google Sitemaps Results

I mentioned before that I started using Google Sitemaps to give my site better representation in Google’s search results. I thought I’d give you an update on my experience so far.

First, my site is getting crawled more often. However, I don’t know how often because my webhost apparently is having a problem keeping my site logs working. But based on the reports from Google, the site is getting crawled. I’ve added some new HTML to the site that allow Google to find more of my pages.

However, the results have been kind of odd. Many of my pages have been turned into supplemental reults and now some are going URL only. I’ll keep you posted on whether this problem works itself out as Googlebot crawls my site more!

Cool Keyboard

Take a look at this new keyboard. It’s a prototype called the Optimus. It uses OLED screens on each key to make it infinately customizable. You can make the keyboard display specific keys for any application.

Check it out at Gizmodo.
