November 2022
I've seen all of Alton Brown's previous live shows. So, when he announced he'd be doing a Christmas version of Beyond the Eats and one of the stops was Bethlehem, PA, I had to go. Besides, we usually go there for the annual Christkindlmarkt anyway. So, we got a see a really cool show and shopped the market on a slightly rainy day avoiding the crowds. It was a win-win!
We're clearly in the right place. It's almost time for the show.
I had to try a bottle of Alton's Holiday from Heck hot sauce.
It's Alton Brown!
When the auditorium is smoky after the show, you know Alton put on a good one!

The old Bethlehem Steel plant is always one of the most fascinating sights in the city
More remains of Bethlehem Steel
The Bethlehem Steel plant probably wasn't this festive when it was still producing the nation's steel
This might be a Christkindlmarkt, but there are still plenty of reminders of what it used to be

We didn't see the ice carving demonstration this year, but here are some of the results
The Christkindlmarkt isn't as crowded this year since we came on a rainy day
