Montreal and Ottawa – Day 3

On the third day of the trip, we decided to get some exercise. We climbed to the top of Mount Royal, the small mountain that the city is named after. If was hot and humid, but the view from the top was worth it. We then walked to Saint Joseph's Oratory and the surrounding neighborhood. After a cab ride back to our hotel, we went to the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal for "Then There was Light." It's a spectacular high tech light show telling the history of Montreal. It’s put on inside the historic church.
