Gulf Coast – Shalimar, Florida June 2008 We stayed at my cousin's house in Shalimar. A good amount of time was also spent in Ed & Barbara's beautiful back yard. We also cooked some delicious seafood there. Their gorgeous cats wanted in on the seafood too! This squirrel was not happy about me coming outside Live oaks fill the yards along the water Palm trees come in all shapes and sizes Everything grows well in this tropical climate including this hibiscus Sofie is another Maine Coon Rembrandt's favorite spot A stiff breeze keeps the flag waiving as Ed's boat sits safely out of the choppy water Sofie hides under the bed. This changed fast once she got to know us.
